Tenants live in WBHDC rental units with individuals and families from a variety of different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. Ideas about acceptable behavior may vary.
Tenants are expected to follow the rules and regulations of their lease agreement and the Residential Tenancies Act, and to ensure they do not interfere with the rights of their neighbours. From time-to-time, disagreements may occur, most often relating to noise complaints and parking stalls. WBHDC expects its tenants to be tolerant of these differences and to manage disagreements in a reasonable fashion.
If tenants are unable to resolve the issue themselves, they are welcome to contact their site Property Administrator for assistance.
When reporting problems, tenants are asked to submit written statements to their site Property Administrator. Statements should include information as much relevant information as possible, including the nature of the complaint, what the complainant saw, the names and address of the people involved in the problem, and efforts undertaken to resolve the complaint. The statement should be dated and signed. All information submitted will be kept strictly confidential.
